UHRS is a crowdsourcing platform by Microsoft Corporation that supports data labeling for various AI application scenarios. This platform pays you to complete data entry tasks. These include text, image, and video annotation, internet judging, search engine evaluation, speech transcription, and more.

How Does UHRS Work?

UHRS offers jobs in the form of micro tasks known as HitApps on their Marketplace. There are different types of hitapps on the marketplace, each with its own set of guidelines. Different hitapps pay different amounts per hit. Also, there is an allocated time required to make a judgment for every hit. It is advised to allow that time to elapse before submitting your judgments. Going too fast could get you banned on that particular hitapp. Don’t worry, there’s a timer in every hitapp so you can keep track of your speed.

Before you can start working on any hitapp, you’d have to study the guidelines of the hitapp in question. You’d have to undergo a training test and complete a qualification test after the training test. You can start working on the hitapp right after passing the qualification test. If you do fail the qualification test, you’d have to retry. The average number of qualification attempts allowed on a hitapp is 3. If you fail all 3 attempts, you lose access to the hitapp. So studying the guidelines is a very crucial aspect of working on UHRS so you don’t lose access to good and high-paying hitapps.

How Do I Sign Up On UHRS?

You cannot work directly on UHRS without signing up through a vendor first. Vendors are third-party websites that host UHRS and also send out your payments on their behalf. These vendors include Clickworker, Appen, Teemwork, Oneforma, Telus International, Datamime, and Quadrant Resource.

How Much Can I Earn On UHRS?

You can earn from $100 to $1000 per month depending on the availability of hitapps on the marketplace and the amount of time you spend working. Your geolocation also plays a factor in the amount you can earn on average because some hitapps pay more in a particular region than others. For example, a hitapp could pay 20 cents per hit for judges located in North America and Europe and this same hitapp would pay 10 cents or 7 cents per hit for judges located in Africa and Asia.

UHRS has become stricter of late which is hurting earnings lately. Also, the platform is being haunted by broken hitapps and outdated spam hits which is making working on the platform a little bit difficult. So I’d advise you’d be cautious while working on the platform and only work on hitapps you are capable of working on to avoid losing access to the platform altogether. 

If you live in the U.S. however, UHRS could be quite a lucrative source of income for you since the U.S. audience has access to a larger marketplace with more and better-paying hitapps. This also applies to a few European countries.

How Do I Get Paid On UHRS?

How you get paid is mostly determined by your vendor. Different vendors have different payment methods but the most popular payment methods are Paypal, Payoneer, and Bank Transfer. Payment dates are also dependent on the vendor you sign up with but most vendors send out payments on a monthly basis.

How Many UHRS Accounts Can I Create?

The answer is ONE. It was okay to have more than one UHRS account with different vendors in the previous years but not anymore. This is due to quality issues. Thus, some judges weren’t spending enough time to understand some hitapps. They were making poor judgments while working because they wanted to earn more, and also had backup accounts. This has made the platform stricter than ever. Judges stand a chance of getting banned if multiple accounts from the same IP address are detected in the system. Especially, with the same account details.

Who Can Sign Up On UHRS?

UHRS accepts applicants worldwide. So there’s no need to worry if your application would be accepted or declined due to your geographic location. In any case, if you do not find your country listed on the accepted countries list when signing up with one vendor, you can always try out other vendors. 

Is UHRS Legit?

Yes, UHRS is legit. They do pay you for working. Here are my payment proofs from Clickworker (UHRS vendor) for working on the platform. Even though UHRS is legit, the bad news is that the platform has been going through a dry phase for a couple of months now, so there aren’t enough hitapps to work on anymore.

Fortunately, people living in regions such as the U.S. get a decent amount of hitapps which earns them a decent amount of money. I can’t say the same for other regions since the majority are also experiencing the dry spell. Is UHRS Worth It?

UHRS most definitely cannot replace your full-time job or be your main source of income but it’s a great option in the side hustle department. UHRS might have a few technical and nonspecialized glitches on their platform which are affecting earnings at the moment. Hopefully, it gets fixed soon so we can keep earning. So I’d say it’s kinda worth it because I have earned a decent amount from UHRS so far.
