You can choose your own work hours on Ignite Reading however you need to be available to tutor from Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET at the same time every day. Also, Ignite Reading requires you to work 1.5 hours every school day and up to 30 hours per week.
How Do I Join Ignite Reading?
Before you apply to become a tutor on Ignite Reading, you need to read the Certification requirements on their certification page. In order to get certified, you must finish a 9-week certification program and dedicate yourself to instructing 6 to 10 students for fifteen minutes each day both during the practicum and the remainder of the academic year. After familiarizing yourself with the certification process, you can now go ahead and sign up on Igniteโs platform by:
โข Visiting the โOnline Tutoring Jobsโ page and submitting an application. The application usually takes 7 to 10 business days to be reviewed.
โข If your application is approved, you will also be required to submit a one-way video interview of yourself responding to a short list of questions provided by Ignite. This video is recorded using their video interview platform known as SparkHire.

How Much Can I Earn on Ignite Reading as a Tutor?
Ignite will pay you $17.50 per hour to take their certification course. This certification course needs to be taken within a period of weeks.
